Do You Have a Problem?

Knowing if you have an incontinence problem can be difficult to discover, mainly because we all think our toilet habits are normal and cannot identify the symptoms of incontinence.

Answering these simple questions with yes or no will help you to understand whether you have symptoms of incontinence and need to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles.

• Do you go to the toilet more than six times a day?
• Do you wake up more than once in the night to go to the toilet?
• Do you experience any wetness in your pants?
• Do you pass more than 400mls a day?
• Do you strain or stop and start when passing water?
• Do you experience any pain or discomfort when urinating?

If you’ve answered no to all these questions, then you don’t have a problem with incontinence and have a healthy pelvic floor.

If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions then it is likely you have a problem with your pelvic floor. It is important that you take steps to overcome these problems before they get worse.
